Weather Notice: Flood Watch In Effect

NOTICE: For Saturday, July 25, 2026 the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for areas including the Town of Oak Island. While the rain is needed and helpful, sudden heavy amounts can cause minor localized flooding throughout Town.

As a reminder, please:

• DO NOT drive through flooded areas, especially with low-centered, electric powered Low Speed Vehicles / Carts!
• USE CAUTION, drive slowly, and remain aware of your surroundings!
• BE AWARE that rural roads leading to and from Town may also be impacted, and plan travel accordingly!
