Economic Development Strategic Plan
On March 17, 2026 the Town Council received a presentation on a 5 Year Economic Development Strategic Plan from Samantha Darlington, Community Economic Development Planner with the NC Main Street & Rural Planning Center. This Draft Plan was developed through a work group of multiple organizations and community members, with included input from the Business Advisory Board. The purpose of the plan is to provide clarity and direction for future decision-making, establishing shared priorities and long-term goals, consistency, messaging.
