Beginning in August, Brunswick County will officially assume the Tax Billing & Collections for the Town of Oak Island, starting with 2026 Taxes. Property owners who previously received two separate bills for County taxes and Town taxes will now only receive a single tax bill which will include both.
Moving forward, all payments for Tax Year 2026 and beyond should be remitted using the payment stub from the bill, directed to: Brunswick County Tax • PO Box 29, Bolivia NC 28422 - OR - using the payment options found on the Brunswick County Website.
PLEASE NOTE: The Town of Oak Island will continue to collect all delinquent taxes for Tax Years 2025 and prior; however, 2026 and beyond Tax Payments will not be accepted at the Oak Island Town Hall.
For any pre-payments already made, a credit is being provided to the County prior to billing. Those who would like to continue to make pre-payments should now include the word “prepay” along with the parcel numbers in the memo fields of all payments mailed to the address provided above.
