NOTICE: Beginning on Friday, July 17, 2026 the public operating hours for the Town of Oak Island Permitting Office will CHANGE to Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
Moving forward, Permit Applications will not be accepted after 3:00 PM. Additionally, Inspection Requests received after 3:00 PM will not be eligible for next-day inspection, but will be assigned for the following day.
This change will help to ensure more accurate and efficient permitting entry, as well as improve the scheduling of upcoming inspections.
