Starting on Monday, August 10, 2026 the annual Beach Monitoring Survey will be conducted as part of the Town's ongoing Beach Management Plan.
Surveying contractor Gahagan & Bryant Associates (GBA) will be conducting the work, which will include operations on the land and water.
During the survey, a truck with the GBA logo and GPS equipment may be seen on the beach areas, while a small boat will be used for hydrographic measurements near the shore. The survey boat will be clearly marked and may come close to shore during this process. This is normal and not cause for alarm; however, those fishing or swimming near the boat are asked to temporarily reel in their lines or move until the boat passes.
