During the May 12, 2026 Town Council meeting, Police Chief Charlie Morris officially announced the Police Department's new No Wake Zone: Street Safety Campaign. The Campaign will officially launch with a public Kickoff Event at this coming Friday, May 22 at 3:00 PM in Veterans Park, located at 1408 E Yacht Drive.
At this event, residents will be able to meet with Chief Morris and learn more about the Department's street safety initiatives in Oak Island. Participants will also be able to get their own No Wake Zone Yard Signs and Info Cards at the Kickoff Event, to help show their support throughout the coming Summer months!
