The Arbor Day Celebration is being coordinated by the Environmental Advisory Committee, with staff partnerships in the Public Works Department: Stormwater Maintenance Division. The event will feature a Tree Planting Ceremony with TWO Live Oak trees, and provide attendees with a FREE one-gallon Live Oak seedling donated by Penderlea Farms of Burgaw, NC.
Through programs like Tree City USA and events such as the Arbor Day Celebration, the Town of Oak Island is again reaffirming its commitment to the restoration and preservation of one of our most important natural resources.
